Fighting Poverty With Faith: Good Jobs, Green Jobs

Join the Union for Reform Judaism and over 20 other national faith organizations for the Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Jobs, Green Jobs week of action October 14-21, 2009

The goal of this mobilization is to create a strong and united faith voice to ensure that as we transition to a greener economy, we achieve meaningful poverty-reduction. The faith community has a particularly important role to play in the shaping this new industry because of our historic involvement in social service provision and because of the clear and prophetic message we bring to the table.

We are asking you to be a part of this year’s Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Jobs, Green Jobs mobilization by organizing an event in your community during the October 14-21 week of action.

Sign up below to participate and receive resources to help you mobilize your community. Then take a minute to read the National Statement of Principles and learn more about this vital effort.

This October, help spark a national conversation about the need to create green pathways out of poverty, and create a mandate for our leaders to aggressively pursue an anti-poverty agenda.
